NO MORE CHEMO. Some of the nurses, and doctors came downstairs to medicine room to sind NO MORE CHEMO song for Regina. She was supposed to get her party on December 21st, but ICU does not give patients that kind of special treatment , and they had no Idea that it was Reginas last day of chemo. So today she got her special treat just minutes after her ( hopefully) last blood transfiusion. :)

Kind of ironically, it occurred to me today that January 6 2004 was both Steven's first day of chemo and Sean's first day of school in Memphis.
Sean wanted me to take him to school and Steven didn't want me to leave his side. I got up at 6 am and showered and Doug showed up at the hospital at something like 7 am with Sean in his new uniform and I drove Sean to school (over on Highland, about 2 miles further from the Kroger at Poplar and Highland).
Sean wanted me to stay with him at school and I did stay for about the first hour, but I wanted to be sure I was with Steven when the drug infusion started. I cried all the way from Sean's school to the hospital but managed to walk into his room with a smile on my face. That morning was the only morning that Steven ate breakfast before chemo, then the horrible vomiting started.
They both walked to school today, and here it is less than a year later and Regina is done with chemo.
How far we've all come...
